Akhil Gokul

Akhil Gokul serves as the Head of Technology for North America (MANA) at Ericsson. He is responsible for aligning Ericsson's technology portfolio with market needs and promoting thought leadership surrounding the company's North American strategic network vision and interests. These interests encompass the wireless evolution of 5G, 5G advanced, and 6G, spectrum policy, open, cloud, and AI-enabled programmable networks. Akhil also spearheads new innovations driven by data, ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizations such as 3GPP, ORAN, TIP, and others. Mr. Gokul brings deep expertise in the wireless industry, having held numerous leadership roles ranging from product management and technology strategy to R&D engineering across both software and hardware portfolios. He has led business and technology transformations, driving innovations across public and private wireless service providers. He holds a Master of Engineering Management from Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Engineering from R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore.
