Amit Nanavati is the VP & COO of Client Experience and a member of the Executive Leadership Group at Northwestern Mutual. He is responsible for the operating model that integrates strategy and delivery to create a transformational digital engine for the organization. Amit is accountable for the portfolio prioritization, strategy governance and the underlying KPI and measurement framework. Amit joined Northwestern Mutual in November 2019 as the Chief Digital Officer responsible for transforming and digitally enabling experiences for our clients, advisors, and operations teams. Prior to NM, Amit spent 3 ½ years at EY in the wealth and asset management practice working across insurance, banking, and investment management clients. With EY, Amit advised senior NM leadership in the wealth and insurance businesses. Amit started his career at ExxonMobil where he worked in various leadership roles across 6 continents. He has also led three successful Fintech start-ups: · Caminus (risk and trading software) acquired by FIS · Reval (cloud base derivative valuation) acquired by ION Holdings · Charles River Development (investment management software) acquired by State Street Amit has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University and graduate degrees from Wharton Business School at University of Pennsylvania and from FINSIA in Australia. He sits on the Board of Discovery World and on the Chief Digital Officer Counsel. Amit also advises iMentor, Vation Ventures, and PageDip (digital start-up). In his spare time, Amit loves traveling, exploring new bleeding edge technology and spending time with his family.
