Brandi Lafontaine

Brandi Lafontaine is the VP and Chief Data Officer of OvareGroup. She partners with the organization to drive value from data assets, ensuring that businesses effectively leverage data and advanced analytics to reduce costs and grow income. She is responsible for Master Data Management, the Data Roadmap, Analytics Strategy, and Data Engineering. She is a fanatic about data and believes that analytics is a blend of art and science. Where successfully leveraging data in an organization requires storytelling and a data-driven culture. Before joining OvareGroup, Lafontaine gained over a decade of expertise in revenue management, advanced analytics, and strategy from positions with Benevity, Finning, ENMAX, and WestJet. While working with Finning, the largest global distributor of Caterpillar products, she helped to develop data products that reduced supply chain risk in addition to growing their Global Pricing and Domain Analytics teams. Most recently, she worked with one of the fastest-growing tech startups in Canada, Benevity. Where was responsible for evolving their client and internal analytics functions. She started her career with 13 years in the airline industry, where she worked to transform the Revenue Management practices of WestJet. Brandi holds two Bachelor’s degrees: Economics and International Relations in addition to an MBA from the University of Calgary.
