Christian Caicedo

Christian Caicedo MD, MBA, CPE, FACHE is a Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations Planning, and Care Delivery at Teladoc Health Inc., with operations, technology, and leadership expertise. He served as the System Senior Vice President and President of the Cumberland and Dauphin Regions, UPMC Pinnacle. Formerly the Vice President of Operations and Medical Director for West Shore Hospital, and Interim Chief Medical Officer, Pinnacle Health System. Has served as Executive Director of Emergency Services and served as Clinical Director for Community Campus Emergency Department, Pinnacle Health System. Dr. Caicedo also served as medical director for Swatara Emergency Medical Services, and was a member of the Swatara EMS board of directors. Currently serves as Medical Director for Susquehanna EMS. Dr. Caicedo is board certified be the American Board of Family Medicine and in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Physician Specialists. He specializes in Emergency Medicine and has been practicing at UPMC Pinnacle and serving its community for the past 20 years. Dr. Caicedo sat on the UPMC Pinnacle’s Medical Staff Quality Committee, Credentials Committee, chaired the Pharmaceutical Expenditures Committee, and Emergency Preparedness committee. Dr. Caicedo also served as a member of the Pinnacle Health Foundation Board of Directors and Community Life Team Board of Directors. Dr. Caicedo published a paper on the use of Risperdal in children with Autism and its effect on aggressive behavior. He also is a contributing author for “In a Page, Signs and Symptoms,” a quick reference book for students and residents on some of the most common presenting medical complaints. Dr. Caicedo has done numerous interviews with various media sources speaking about current trends in emergency medicine, health care policy, and telemedicine. Dr. Caicedo was also the lead social media physician for UPMC Pinnacle on Twitter with over 1000 followers. Dr. Caicedo was the lead physician for UPMC Pinnacle Telemedicine program and its multiple initiatives. Dr. Caicedo received Bachelors of the Arts from Rutgers University. He obtained his medical degree at New York Medical College. He completed his residency program in Family Medicine and served as chief resident elect at UPMC Pinnacle. He completed a Healthcare MBA from Alvernia University where he was inducted to the Delta Mu Delta, International Honor Society in Business Administration, and Alpha Epsilon Lambda, Graduate Business School Honor Society.
