Dr. Michael Gormish

Dr. Michael Gormish is Clarifai’s Vice President of Research. He is a Stanford Ph.D. with 20 years of experience in inventing and implementing Computer Vision, Machine Learning, image compression and image processing algorithms that are key differentiators for Clarifai’s customers. He is also a key contributor to JPEG 2000 standardization that is now used in digital cinema and satellites. Dr. Gormish has invented and wrote server side document image processing code and managed mobile client development for multiple mobile applications used by millions and is Associate Editor for IEEE Signal Processing Magazine
