About The Speaker
James is a highly creative entrepreneur who has been consulting on digital innovation, ecommerce, and marketing with many consumer brands, prominent retailers, technology partners, and charitable organizations. He has spoken to audiences, press, and industry journals on three continents, co-authored a book on collaborative marketing and was named Canadian Marketer of the year in recent years. Additionally, James helped bring success and numerous awards to the iconic Canadian brand Roots for over two decades. As their Chief eCommerce & Customer Experience Officer, he was responsible for leading digital commerce, marketing, creative services, branded experience, and non-traditional retail development. He has recently taken a short break from full-time business, spending seven months in South-East Asia learning about the market, putting over 2000 kilometers on his road bike, and learning new skills in five countries.
