As a Senior Director of Cybersecurity Technology at the Cleveland Clinic, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to my role at one of the world's premier multispecialty academic medical systems. My primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of the Cleveland Clinic’s information and systems from various cyber threats and events that disrupt care delivery. With a strong background in cybersecurity and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies, I lead the development and implementation of a robust cybersecurity strategy, operational platforms, and delivery of cybersecurity services to clinical and business stakeholders. My team and I work tirelessly to prevent security breaches and keep the organization compliant with various industry, government, and accreditation requirements on cybersecurity, risk management, privacy, and safety. In addition to my technical knowledge, I have a talent for managing and motivating a team of cybersecurity professionals. I lead by example, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment and providing regular training and professional development opportunities for my staff. I work closely with stakeholders across the organization, including the CISO, CTO, and health systems clinical and business leadership team members, to raise awareness of cybersecurity best practices and educate staff on protecting sensitive information. I also develop and manage the cybersecurity technology budget and recommend investments in technology and staffing to ensure we have the resources we need to secure the organization. As a trusted advisor and thought leader in cybersecurity, I am committed to keeping the organization's information and systems secure and maintaining the highest privacy and security standards for our patients and stakeholders. Before joining the Cleveland Clinic, I served in multiple information security roles with a regional healthcare provider, including Information Security Officer. As a graduate of Penn State University with a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (MPS-CIA), I also serve as a part-time adjunct faculty member for Penn State’s World Campus program for various information technology courses.
