Leslie Slay
Leslie brings over 25 years of employee benefits experience to clients, spanning both the consulting and insurance carrier sides of the business. As a Lead Consultant, she works with clients as a key strategist around all aspects of their employee benefits programs. During her time working at large regional and national consulting firms in Southern California, Leslie was responsible for managing some of those firms’ most important relationships. While with PacifiCare of California (United Health Care), she worked to develop the company’s Inland Empire territory and grew that area significantly during her tenure. Her experience enables her to work with clients of all sizes to find unique, creative solutions. Leslie’s passion is continuing to work with partners to create various alternative risk programs. She is actively creating new proprietary products to expand healthcare options for clients. She is committed to employee education and working to find new ways to communicate to the multi-generational workforce. In her multi-faceted role, she also mentors newer account executives and account managers and assists in the creation and delivery of retention strategies. Leslie is active in the carrier market and sits on numerous advisory councils and product development committees for all the major insurance carriers. She’s been a speaker at PIHRA, HR Star Conference and other industry events focused on health care reform, health insurance and employee benefits. In addition to her professional roles and affiliations, Leslie is a past president of the Board for the House of Ruth and is very involved with Children's Fund, Assistance League, and the American Heart Association. Leslie has a bachelor’s degree in organizational development from the University of San Francisco and is a designated Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She lives in Orange County, CA with her husband and two sheepadoodles. They are the proud parents of 4 adult boys which keeps them still very busy.
