Peter Nadel
Current Responsibilities Pete Nadel is a member of the Marsh Energy & Power Specialty Practice, a global commercial insurance brokerage and risk advisory team that delivers solutions and strategies to the energy & power industry worldwide. He is based in North Canton, Ohio and is a member of Marsh Specialty’s US Team. As a Senior Client Executive, Pete oversees and manages all aspects of client service delivery, risk strategy and program design and works with others to ensure the highest levels of experience and expertise are maintained and delivered across the network. He leverages his extensive risk management experience and expertise to advise clients on the design and structure of their risk management and insurance programs to most effectively and efficiently align with the client’s goals and objectives. Experience Pete joined Marsh in 2022. Prior to Marsh, he was the Director of Insurance and Credit Risk for FirstEnergy, a Fortune 200 and Top 25 investor-owned utility servicing over 6 million customers across 6 states in the Northeast and Midwest. His 15-year tenure at FirstEnergy afforded him an exceptionally broad range of experience allowing him to develop relevant expertise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, bankruptcy, catastrophic liability, property, and D&O claims, risk management and organizational transformations. Amongst his personal experiences are successful resolution of some of the most significant and defining claims to occur in the last 20 years. He has been consistently recognized for his thought leadership and creativity in insurance and risk management and has served in numerous capacities and positions of leadership on the Insurance Advisory Committees of multiple industry mutual insurers, including the AEGIS RMAC, NEIL IAC Executive Committee, and as Chair of the NEIL Underwriting Subcommittee. He is a recognized thought leader with a special focus on industry collaboration and innovation, regularly produces original material and has served as a featured speaker at numerous industry mutual and insurance industry conferences, as well as helped to advance the curriculum of The Energy School at the request of AEGIS, EIM, NEIL and Everen sponsors.
