Salim Sawalha is the Chief Retail Officer at Jordan Commercial Bank, bringing over 20 years of diverse experience to the financial industry. Since 2016, Salim has been committed to driving digital and customer-centric solutions at JCB. Previously, he served as the Country Manager for Visa in Jordan, Iraq, and Palestine, enabling electronic payments for consumers, businesses, and banks. Salim's versatility and resiliency come from his past experiences, having worked at leading local banks in Jordan and large institutions like Wells Fargo and Chase Bank in the US. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Salim was an entrepreneur, founding a janitorial company in Silicon Valley and launching a health and beauty online store that sold Dead Sea products. Salim holds an MBA with a double major in Marketing and Small Business from California State University, East Bay, USA, and a B.A. degree in Economics from Yarmouk University. He is also a Certified Management Accountant and has earned professional certificates in Digital Transformation and FinTech from renowned institutes such as Harvard, UPenn, and IE Business School in Spain.
